Ninepins has been a popular sport in many forms throughout history. Ninepins originated with the Dutch, who brought it to North America in the 17th Century. Ninepins was actually outlawed in colonial America because it was a source of gambling. To get around the law, the colonists began bowling with an extra pin, introducing ten pin bowling to the world! There have been floor and tabletop versions of the game. Our Ninepins game consists of nine wooden pins and two balls and is meant to be played on the floor.
Set includes: two 2-1/2″ diameter wood balls, nine 7-1/4″ wood pins, cloth carry bag, and written instructions.
